Robert Fleming has been a curator at the National Army Museum, the British Army’s central museum, for over seven years and before that the Imperial War Museum. He has studied law and political science, and history and archaeology, with expertise in imperialism and post-colonial societies. Particularly the military history of the British empire and First World War.

His illustrated talk at The Forum will explore the nature, impact and legacy of the German strategic bombing campaign of English targets during the Great War, going into specific detail regarding the Zeppelin raids on Southend-on-Sea, Essex.
