The Southend Summercare Carnival is back for 2014!

This year’s Southend Summercare Carnival Grand Illuminated Parade will be leaving Southchurch Park at 7:45pm and will traveling along the seafront.

Entries to the procession are judged on the day, including:

• Best Carnival Queen Float
• Best Majorette Group
• Best Youth Group Entry
• Best Entry from the Borough of Southend
• Best Overall Entry

There will be stewards and entrants going along collecting donations for local charities. Southend-on-Sea Carnival Association is a voluntary charitable organisation, formed in 1926, that has organised and ran the Southend Carnival each year since, providing countless amenities to various local organisations.
