Southend is currently home to South Essex College, Southend Adult Community College, Southend University and many other education training providers.
South Essex College's Southend campus is well known in and around the Southend area. Being closely located to Southend Central Station and Southend Travel centre, it is also easily accessible. The campus provides further education qualifications including A level courses, a range of vocational qualifications, adult courses and even offers higher education in The Forum.
Southend Adult Community College are all about encouraging a welcoming atmosphere and providing friendly and available staff for the facilities. The Adult Community College provides courses for young people such as traineeships, study programs and apprenticeships, as well as a range of additional courses and programs for people of all ages. These include a wide variety of programs for Leisure Learning and careers and vocational positions.
Southend University campus is part of the University of Essex group, alongside Colchester and Loughton. The campus includes University Square, the student accommodation complex known for its iconic and eye-catching design, and including Evolve gym and fitness studio. Courses at the campus are provided by The School of Health and Human Sciences, East 15 Acting School, Essex Business School and The Centre For Psychoanalytic studies. The University is also granted access to facilities at The Forum, providing students with a 24 hour learning hub, a comprehensive library and teaching spaces.
