How to get to Southend


Southend is easy to travel to and around by bus! There are 4 main bus companies which run services in the Southend area. These include Arriva Southend, First Buses, Regal Busways and Stephensons Buses.

There are many Bus stops in and around Southend, as well as Southend Travel Centre, which is the main bus depot for the area. To find out what time a bus will be arriving at the stop you are/will be at, you can visit and enter a postcode, street & town or a stop name & town.

Regal Busways Bus Routes: 3, 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D, 3E, 11A, B2. Sadly, Regal Busways don't have a website, but you can find travel information concerning them through traveline.

Southend is home to four train stations, Southend Central, Southend Victoria, Southend East and Southend Airport.

Southend Central trains run on the C2C train line.

Southend Victoria trains are run by Abellio Greater Anglia.

Southend East trains also run on the C2C line.

Southend Airport trains are run by Abellio Greater Anglia.

There are also many other Train Stations in the Southend area. These include: • Leigh-On-Sea • Chalkwell • Prittlewell • Thorpe Bay • Shoeburyness • Westcliff-On-Sea The airport is easily accessible via car, bus or train.

There are over 10,000 council managed spaces for parking in Southend.

These include spaces in the Royals Shopping centre car park and along the Seafront.

There are also coach bays along the seafront which are only for dropping off and picking up passengers.

These can not be used for parking, but however, there is parking for coaches at Seaway Coach park on Lucy Road.


Southend has it's own airport, flying out to and in from many destinations.
