Quarantine and Mata Boo-Boo was a colaboration of three events in fact, with the third being Too Dam Funky on the middle floor and bar area. It was a real trip back to the oldskool in the main room for me with crazy luminous decor and lots of fairly "animated" charactors making their mark on the dancefloor. The music was hard, almost techno (maybe it was I never was the best at judging 4/4 beats!) and took me back to my days at Funny Skins and Megabyte where Lorraine the slightly loopy old lady would gurn and dance frantically like she was beating dust from a pillow with her fists. The DJ's playing the main room were; Quarantine, Mif (Atomic Productions), Laith, Wayne M, Psymon, Monster (Munch, Studio 206, Quarantine), and Sutekh (antiworld).
he middle floor I have to admit I didn't spend much time on, probably
due to the slight intoxication from having visited two venues before,
my apologies to the promoters! And the basement, well it was shaking to
the sounds of hard breaks with DJ's including Allie (Polymorphic),
D.T.H. (InHatDesign), Underground Girl (NSB Radio), Shodan (Apex Audio
Recordings), Rich-E (Real Mad Clubbers), Rumbler (NSB Radio), Oracle
(Breaks FM), and Deep Bass Perverts.
