..are coming to Rochford from this Tuesday for a whole month!
I think it's disgusting that circuses with animals still exist. Not only should the animals be in the wild, they are transported around the country in cramped conditions only being let out to rehearse or perform.
I've seen for myself the so called "caring" way the Not So Great British Circus keep their animals. One thing in particular stood out for me. A poor tiger that only had enough space to pace up and down. This in itself is a sign of a very unhappy animals.
Circus's are there purely for entertainment and have no educational purpose at all. They do not provide us with anything new about animals. If you really want to be entertained with circus performers, consider going to the many "human" circuses such as the Cirque Du Soileil.
So in a nutshell, a circus with animals is cruel and un neccessary.
I ask that if you see a poster advertising the "Great" British Circus, you rip it down or ask the shops you see it in if they would take it down.
Southend Animal Aid is planning to regularly protest against them while they are in Rochford. We need as many people as possible to take part to help us make an impact. Just send me a message for more details.
Thank you!
