These are webcams located on Southend's sea front and maintained and run by Southend borough council. The first camera located on the pier head looks away from the shores of Southend-On-Sea and you can see the "amusements" at the end, on the left is the lifeboat centre, and straight ahead is the train station and the pub.

The second image is taken from the base of the pier where the new "observation tower" is (though to my mind you can observe much the same by standing on the cliffs!).

These images are updated every 30 minutes (on the hour and half past) handy if you cruise the seafront and want to check if there are many people down there!
