Join Southend’s community of cyclists for a bike ride, dressed in your finest vintage ensemble.

We all know how much we love our vintage-themed events in Southend-on-Sea, and Southend Tweed Ride 2015 has proved itself popular with both vintage and cycling enthusiasts.

Now in its fifth year running, now is the time to bring out your tweed and vintage glad rags for a unique bike ride experience that starts from Belfairs Woodland Centre at 2pm for an approximate finish at 3:30pm at Southchurch Park Café. There you will have the opportunity to relax in your vintage attire after a leisurely cycle on a jolly afternoon, and treat yourself to a pot of cream tea and scone with jam and cream (£3.50) or an afternoon tea with sandwiches, scone with cream and jam and a pot of tea (£6.50). Lovely jubbly.

The Tweed Ride 2015 is suitable for all ages and those who may not be so confident cycling on roads, as the route will use mainly shared spaces and cycle paths. If you would like to ride for a shorter distance, Tweed Ride 2015 will reach the entrance of Priory Park on Victoria Avenue at approximately 2:30pm so you are welcome to join in at this point of the ride to finish at Southchurch Park.
