A whole day on Southend high street, packed full of festive activities for the family!

The Robinson Crusoe Trail: 11am – 4pm

A swash-bucklingly fun trail through Southend High Street, where you will come across Sea Shanty dancers, Tribesmen and more. Just grab your map from the Cliffs Pavilion team (who are promoting the Southend Christmas Panto, Robinson Crusoe & the Caribbean Pirates, at the Victoria Shopping Centre) and set sail through the High Street, collecting all the treasure along the way! The trail concludes at the Royals Shopping Centre for pirate-themed fun and arts & crafts.

If you collect all the stamps from each location of the trail, you can enter the lucky draw to win a family ticket for the pantomime performance, a 2-course pre-show meal at the Pavilion Restaurant before the show, and the chance to meet some of the panto cast after the show!

The Main Stage at Victoria Circus: 2pm – 6pm

• 2pm – 4.45pm: The Warm Up
  Join local artists on The Main Stage, hosted by Dom Atkins
• 4.45pm – 6pm: Lead Up To The Big Switch On
  Martin and Su from Heart Breakfast will be hosting the Southend Christmas Lights Big Switch On, along with an amazing line up of acts.

The BBC Essex Stage at Royal Square: 11am – 8pm

BBC Essex will be hosting festive family fun entertainment, with performances from incredible choirs, singers and musicians.

The Victoria Shopping Centre: 11am – 4pm

Free face painting and lots of Christmas surprises in store for more family fun!

The Royals Shopping Centre (Main Atrium): 11am – 4pm

Join the Little Royalty Events Team for a day of fun, games, dancing and singing, with lots of prizes to be won! Ryan the Lion, The Royals’ favourite mascot, will be there too!

Fireworks Finale on Southend Seafront: 7:30pm

BBC Essex will be counting down to the grand finale of this year’s Christmas-on-Sea 2016 with a fantastic fireworks display on Southend seafront – and the last one of the year! The beautifully choreographed show will be accompanied by music this year, courtesy of the clever team at BBC Essex.
