The Southend Carnival attracts around 20,000 people to Southend seafront each year. With over 60 colourful floats, exciting acts, dancers, bands, big costumes and more, the Southend SummerCare Carnival Procession is one of the largest in the UK.

The procession starts at 6.45pm from Southchurch Park, reaching City Beach on the seafront at 7.30pm and finishing on the seafront at Shorefield Road at approximately 9pm.

The best viewing point is City Beach on the seafront.

There will be an Accessible Viewing Area on Southend’s City Beach for people with disabilities or those who wish to watch the procession in a more secure environment. The Accessible Viewing Area is on a raised platform, closed off from the general public but will still have all the fun and engagement of the carnival atmosphere.
