Raspberry Pi Workshop at The Forum

May 26 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

| £3

Aimed at children, this Raspberry Pi workshop will allow kids to explore electronics and computer coding using the Raspberry Pi - and, more importantly, have fun doing it!

The workshop will involve investigating how electronic circuits can be made with prototyping components, and how they can be controlled with the famously cheap and tiny Raspberry Pi computer.

Children may have already learnt some basic programming at school or at home using Scratch, but have they controlled Scratch with buttons and lights?! They will work in small groups as pair programming is a common industry learning and development technique.

The workshop will end with a show and tell sessions so that young computer coders can demonstrate their creations and explain what they have learnt, explored and tinkered with.

Suitable for children aged 9 - 13 years old. Though younger or older children are permitted, please do bear in the mind the target age range.
