The Southend Pier Puppet Festival which usually takes place at the Southend Pier Royal Pavilion returns in 2016, but this time on the shore end of the Pier as trains are currently suspended.

But the shows will go on! The weekend of puppet fun will see five puppeteers performing traditional seaside puppet shows throughout the weekend. Including a number of Punch and Judy versions between 11am and 5pm on both days. Jo Peek will present a marionette showcase of 6 of his unusual puppets each afternoon.

There will also be a face painter and a colouring workshop.

From 11am - 5pm both days.
