After the success of Leigh-on-Sea’s first maritime festival last year (replacing the old “Leigh Fishing Festival”), Leigh Maritime Festival 2015 is planned to be bigger and better already!

Children can explore the Kids Zone on Strand Wharf and take part in a range of activities from crabbing to learning about the nautical archaeological local discovery at The London exhibit, where they will have the chance to see some of the relics from the dive site themselves.

There will also be an Italian food market, arts and crafts stalls, performances and puppet shows.

The Leigh Maritime Festival 2015 will also incorporate the Lower Thames Rowing Club Annual Southend Pier Race.

Please note that although Leigh Maritime Festival 2015 is free, any donations to the event’s nominated charities (including RNLI) are greatly appreciated.
