We asked Dan Chambers, the director of award-winning 1st Call Sales & Lettings in Southend, regarding his thoughts on why many are choosing to relocate from London and are instead searching for property for sale and flats to rent in Southend and the surrounding area:

“Many people moved down to Southend from London because of the close proximity to the capital and of course, receiving far more bang for your buck.

Outside investment, the university, expanding airport and the regeneration of many existing sites have all assisted in some way to Southend’s success and the influx of buyers ultimately contributing to increased house prices.”
