DESCRIPTION:Free screening of Tetsu: The Iron Man\, at Focal Point Gallery in The Forum. \nThe main gallery will become a 4 channel immersive projection\, providing an extreme viewing experience. \nTetsu: The Iron Man is the last of three films in the Southend Fringe Film Festival which explore extreme possible futures of the co-existence of man and machine. It was the first in the cyberpunk horror film series from cult-film director\, Shinya Tsukamoto. Filmed in black and white 16mm with an underground production style\, the film depicts a gruesome and unforgiving tale of businessman who evolves into a strange hybrid of man and machine. With its graphic imagery and challenging ideas\, the film’s radical look continues to astound audiences.
