In conjunction with Southend Borough Council, the Leigh Folk Festival Association is staging the second Annual Folk ‘n’ Ale on the Pier.

There will be a Folk Theatre Show, “Down the Hill to the Old Town”, telling tales of the rich history of Old Leigh and its small fishing community. Written by Jack Forbes and with musical accompaniment from Slow Loris, “Down the Hill to the Old Town” involves participation from the audience with its original music and storytelling.
There will also be a special guest appearance from Tony Prior, singer/songwriter and a Real Ale Bar supplied by Neil Harding.
