Rochford’s award-winning Art Trail is back in its fifth year for ten days between Thursday 18th September to Saturday 27th September. The Rochford Art Trail will feature a diverse selection of artworks from local artists displayed in shop windows, businesses and public buildings around the medieval market town of Rochford. What to do at the Rochford Art Trail
- Launch event, open to everyone, on Thursday 18th September, 10am, at Rochford Library
- The Pavilion at the Rochford Hotel will be featuring Rochford artists alongside artists from Leigh-on-Sea for a four-day group exhibition
- The Rochford WI Hall will host a pre-Trail arts and crafts market and an end-of-trail event featuring demos, tasters and workshops
- Guided walks will be available running every day except Sunday 21st
- Screen-print workshop from The Print Wagon, film showings and live theatre from Open Arts

Thursday 18th September 2014
- Launch Event at Rochford Library (10am - 12pm) - FREE!
- Art workshops for all ages, stitches embroidery with Tessa Frampton, glass-painted light catchers with Open Arts, silversmithing techniques with Rochford Silver Smith Group, Pinnochion Artificial Intelligence with LHTrevail.
Saturday 20th September 2014
- Tour of The Old House (11am - 3pm) - FREE!
- Take a tour of Rochford’s Grade I listed Old House; the oldest surviving building in the area and an impressive thirteenth century timber framed house. Approximately 45 minute long tour.
- The Print Wagon at the Great Wooferoo (3 Weir Pond Road) (1pm - 3pm) - FREE!
- Aidan Saunders offers visitors a chance to try out printmaking.
Monday 22nd - Thursday 25th September 2014
- Group Exhibition in the Pavilion at the Rochford Hotel - FREE!
- Monday: 11.30am - 4pm, Tuesday-Thursday: 10am - 4pm
- Group exhibition showcasing guest artists from Leigh-on-Sea and contemporary artists from Rochford, displaying fine art painting, ceramics and photography.
Saturday 27th September 2014
- Film Viewings and performances by Open Arts
- Open Arts participants will be showing film viewings and a collection of live theatre performances. Presented in partnership with DMB Arts. Event suitable for ages 16 and up.
