  • Fright Fantastic @ Adventure Island
    Celebrate Halloween half term at Adventure Island with some spooky goings-on, and take part in the Horror Hunt around the park and other Halloween activities. Feel free to come in costume!

  • Southend Pier Ghost Train
    A children’s Halloween-themed creepy ghost train ride along Southend Pier where the end of Southend Pier is decorated for Halloween. Fancy dress, face painting, spooky stories, Halloween treats and fireworks!
  • Woodland Tales
    A free, wonderful, enchanted fairytale-themed Halloween event for children with face painting, a bouncy castle, and a Fairytale Treasure Hunt with some of your favourite fairytale characters! Prizes for best costumes!

  • Southend Pier Zombie Walk
    Stagger up Southend Pier amongst a horde of flesh-eating zombies! (Children are welcome, but please be aware that some of the costumes are quite convincing so it may not be suitable for all children…) Zombie disco for kids afterwards, with ghoulish Halloween mocktails!

  • Halloween Party for Essex @ Garon Park
    Set to be the BIGGEST Halloween party Southend has ever seen with an expected turnout of 5000 people in total. Family-friendly event with live music, including Britain’s Got Talent performers and S Club, as well as an inflatable fun zone and other activities and stalls. Fireworks later in the evening.
  • Southend Pier Ghost Train
    A children’s Halloween-themed creepy ghost train ride along Southend Pier where the end of Southend Pier is decorated for Halloween. Fancy dress, face painting, spooky stories, Halloween treats and fireworks!
  • Halfterm Halloween Horrorfest @ Sealife Adventure
    Face-painting, games, arts and crafts and competitions at Southend sealife centre. Come dressed up in your scariest costumes for Halloween fun!
  • Halloween at the Dungeon Café
    From 11-12, there will be a Creepy Crafty day with Katherine at the Dungeon Café on Hamlet Court Road. Along with a fancy dress competition, apple bobbing and lots of other scary stuff going on!
  • Mini Monster Mash @ Royals Shopping Centre
    Little werewolves, witches and vampires are invited to come down to the Mini Monster Mash for some free Halloween fun. There will be face-painting, singing, dancing, games and spooky arts and crafts.

  • Halloween at the Dungeon Café
    From 11-12, there will be a Creepy Crafty day with Katherine at the Dungeon Café on Hamlet Court Road. Along with a fancy dress competition, apple bobbing and lots of other scary stuff going on!

  • Vampire Disco
    Heavenly Fridays presents the Vampire Disco! With 100 free fangs to give away on the night. Best dressed vampire will win two Odeon cinema tickets to see Transylvania 2!

  • The I’Scream Factory Scare Maze
    A live action, immersive horror experience scare maze for Southend’s bravest. Take a tour of the old ice cream factory where a dark, horrific secret lurks behind the gates. It is up to you to find the secret and escape… however, things are not as sweet as they seem!

  • Southend Pier Zombie Walk
    Stagger up Southend Pier amongst a horde of flesh-eating zombies! Come in your best zombie attire. Zombie party after at the Park Inn Palace Hotel.

  • The Disney Halloween Ball
    Heavenly Fridays (Southend’s #1 LGBT night club) is hosting a Disney Halloween Ball, where you can dress up as your favourite Disney character and dance your sanity away all night long to commercial tunes, house tunes and classic Halloween and Disney songs! With lasers, smoke machines, strobes, and UV BODY PAINTING!
  • Halloween Weekend @ Chinnerys – featuring Fell Out Boy
    Get into the Halloween mood with the Fall Out Boy tribute act, Fell Out Boy, who are endorsed by the band themselves!

  • Zombie Prom
    Dress to kill for this zombie-themed prom night! Join the prom that never really ended. With all your prom party classics.
  • A Mayhem Horror Story: Asylum
    AFTRDRK presents A Mayhem Horror Story: Asylum. 1300 party people getting their freak on at the Mayhem nightclub, with top Essex DJs playing hip hop and house horror.
  • Glamoween 2015
    Too Damn Glam presents Glamoween 2015 featuring the talented sounds of Sonny Fedora. Three floors, twenty DJs and one awesome crowd.
  • Raged Halloween Takeover @ Chinnerys
    Two rooms of Raged madness – the best rock/alternative night in town – in double the glory for Halloween, with the best in Rock DJs playing in the front bar as well as the main Chinnerys venue.
  • Halloween Thriller Night @ O’Neill’s

  • “Halloween” (1978) film screening pop-up cinema @ Royals Shopping Centre
    Quite possibly the most iconic Halloween film ever made, Halloween, will be shown at the Royals Shopping Centre to over 200 people (first come, first served) for free with deckchair seating at the pop-up cinema, once the shopping centre has closed and the lights have gone out. Some surprises to be expected lurking around the shopping centre, for an interactive fright experience…
  • Pop-Up Halloween Vintage Market @ Clarence Hall
    Pop-up vintage market selling everything vintage – from clothing, kitchenalia, jewellery and bric-a-brac. There will be a resident vintage hair stylist and a wonderful tea shop providing spooky cakes and Halloween bits. As well as a singer, retro dancers and a Halloween face painter.
  • Cokefield Avenue Halloween Haunt
